a day to play – the anti-plastic toy

Hey all,

Welcome to another day of play! Today I want you to take a step back in time to the days when there weren’t all these strange, and narrowly focused toys. Do you remember that wood block that could be a brick, a walkie-talkie, a club, a trap, a projectile, a tower, a building, a platform, a shoe, a step, a… you get the picture. Well, go play like you did in those days. Pick up a stick and have sword fight or shoot your enemies. Go chase each other around the yard flinging mud balls and screaming like the little monster you once were. May the neighborhood once again know your reign of terror. Then again, maybe you’re the hero that will save the day. You pick… just play and no hi-tech, ultra cool, bought it at the store because they told me I’d be cool if I did toys.

Have fun!

** extra credit for anyone who wants to tell me more uses for that wood block than those I mentioned.

About Kirk

I enjoy life and have been blessed with many different experiences. An eye for the underlying truths that surround me accompanies a growing faith in Christ and God that informs my world and reveals small miracles and beauty surrounding me every day. This is the major reason I felt led to start Dance of 2 Companies - a dance studio where I can share all the little amazing things God's taught me through life as a dancer - about myself, about others, about marriage... and most importantly, about Him.
